New Circulation System -- RSA CAT

On December 6, the Carlock Library was one of 198 networked libraries in central Illinois that changed to a new circulation system. Patrons now have over 2.6 million items available to them.

Due to the system change ALL PATRONS who live in White Oak, Dry Grove, and Kansas Townships need to fill out new appication cards. EACH library user in a family should have their own card starting at age 6. You will receive a credit card type library card with a new bar code and PIN number. Your new number can be scanned at any library; no need for multiple numbers on your card.

With the patron number and PIN you can access RSACat from your home computer. You will have access to your home library's collection and the collection of the other RSA member libraries. By March, patrons will be able to renew materials, view your account information, place items on hold and select which library you want your hold delivered to.

To see your personal account on RSACat, go to: http://rsacat.alsrsa.org. Look in the upper right portion of the screen and enter your library bar code (beginning with the D103 for Carlock patrons) in the log-in space. Use the PIN number assigned to you or create your own password.

More information and tips about using RSACat are available at the library.
